Roborock - Unveils Saros 20 at CES 2026

2026-02-05

Built to Conquer up to 8.8 cm Thresholds with new AdaptiLift™ Chassis 3.0

Roborock, the global leader in home robotics engineered to simplify daily life, today introduced Saros 20 at CES 2026. Built to defy limitations, Saros 20 brings a new level of autonomy to real homes with AdaptiLift™ Chassis 3.0 for double‑layer threshold crossing up to 4.5 + 4.3 cm [1], industry‑first dynamic chassis elevation for deep carpet cleaning and StarSight™ Autonomous System 2.0 that maps faster, recognizes over 300 obstacle types [2], and navigates with 21x higher sampling frequency than LDS [3]. Paired with a new RockDock® that adds 212°F hot‑water mop washing [5], 131°F warm‑air drying [6], and up to 65 days between dust bag changes [7], Saros 20 turns hands‑free cleaning into everyday reality.

AdaptiLift™ Chassis 3.0 — Adaptive mobility that conquers double-layer thresholds

Guided by an advanced vision stack and adaptive algorithms, the AdaptiLift™ Chassis 3.0 combines liftable main and auxiliary wheels with a climbing arm to analyze, test, and memorize the best way to traverse uneven transitions. Saros 20 crosses doublelayer thresholds up to 4.5 + 4.3 cm and supports low-clearance navigation down to 79.5 mm, sustaining uninterrupted room-to-room cleaning. It also introduces industry-first dynamic chassis elevation for carpets, intelligently raising body height, and intelligently adjusting its height to an optimum level, to maintain the best suction and brush contact on rugs up to 1.18 inches (3 cm) pile height when enabled in the app [8][9]. The Adaptilift Chassis means no more coming to your robot’s aid -  if it encounters a trap, Saros 20 can elevate its chassis front, rear, left, or right to free itself without user intervention.

StarSight™ Autonomous System 2.0 — Vision that maps faster and recognizes more

In terms of navigation, the StarSight™ Autonomous System 2.0 in the Roborock Saros 20 has been upgraded to support the recognition of over 300 objects and more precise obstacle avoidance. This next-gen 3D ToF-based sensing platform powers precise mapping, superior coverage, and robust object awareness—whether it’s cable nests, pet toys, or unexpected barriers. Compared with traditional LDS technology, StarSight™ improves sampling frequency by 21x for more faithful localization and pathing, while VertiBeam™ lateral obstacle avoidance maintains edge alignment along walls, furniture, and other objects with irregular shapes such as cables, helping to minimize the chance of cable entanglement. With recognition of 300+ common object types down to approximately 0.79 inches (2 cm) wide and 0.79 inches (2 cm) tall, Saros 20 minimizes pre-tidying. A remarkably slim 3.14 inches (7.98 cm) body height supports low-clearance navigation down to 7.95 cm, helping it glide beneath sofas and beds, pairing lowprofile hardware with high precision positioning to reach dust in tighter spaces.

Comprehensive cleaning coverage — Triplelift design meets FlexiArm™ edge reach

Saros 20’s 3X liftable architecture coordinates the chassis, main brush, and dual spinning mops to adapt in real time to what’s underfoot. On carpets, the robot elevates its chassis and lifts the mops to keep textiles dry while lowering and stabilizing the main brush for deeper fiber engagement; enable “Deep Carpet Cleaning” in the Roborock app to unlock the full effect, ideal for mid-to-high pile rugs up to 1.18 inches (3 cm) [10].

Along mixed routes, Saros 20 follows its usual cleaning path with the mop lifted and chassis raised to protect rugs while maintaining strong vacuum pickup. For vacuum-only jobs, the mops detach and the main brush drops to maximize airflow and debris transfer. Switch to mop mode and Saros 20 lifts the main brush to help prevent dust recontamination during wet passes—so hard floors get a thorough scrub without spreading fine particles.

Working in tandem, FlexiArm™ brings boundary precision to the same run. The extendable system reaches into toekicks as low as 0.79 inches (2 cm) [11] and tracks along baseboards and furniture lines to erase the halo of dust round robots often leave behind. Under test conditions, FlexiArm™ is engineered for 100% cleaning coverage in edges and corners [12], reducing the visible edge gap to 0 inches (0 mm) [13].

On hard floors, Saros 20 lowers the sidemop and coordinates brush contact to sweep and scrub right up to the line; when it senses carpet, the mops lift and detach as needed so boundary detailing continues without moisture transfer. The result is wall-to-wall uniformity—deep carpet pickup where you want it, edge-to-edge mopping where you need it, and seamless handoff between modes without user intervention.

Powerful Clean for Dust, Dirt or Hair: 36K Pa HyperForce® suction, Dual Spinning Mop and Dual AntiTangle System

An ultra‑efficient digital motor delivers up to 36,000 Pa of HyperForce® suction [14], lifting embedded dust from carpet fibers and extracting debris from floorboard gaps. Once dust is delt with, the Saros swiftly moves from dust to tougher stains.

Saros 20’s dual spinning mop system is engineered for consistent, high-friction scrubbing on hard floors. Each mop spins at up to 200 RPM, while adaptive downforce lifts from 8N in ordinary mopping [15] to as high as 13N when tougher stains are detected [16]. To achieve the pressure boost, the robot raises its OmniWheels and transfers weight onto the mops, increasing contact and shear to break down dried spills, sticky residues, and water marks with fewer passes.

When the user-enabled StainTarget AI Cleaning is active, Saros 20 can also switch to mop-only mode for liquid messes, helping prevent cross-contamination by keeping brushes off the floor. The result is deeper, more uniform polishing across tile, stone, and sealed wood, with automatic modulation that responds to realworld soils rather than fixed presets.

Homes with long hair and shedding pets benefit from Roborock’s dual anti-tangle approach. The DuoDivide™ main brush and FlexiArm™ Arc Side Brush are engineered to keep hair tangling at zero under test conditions, reducing wraparounds at typical snag points while sustaining strong debris transfer into the vacuum path. Internal testing further validates the anti-tangle performance of both the main brush and side brush [17]. To keep motion smooth, an upgraded omnidirectional wheel includes an integrated cleaning brush that clears fuzz as it rolls, simplifying upkeep over time.

Brand new RockDock® — 212°F hotwater washing and 131°F warmair drying for truly handsfree care

Saros 20’s RockDock® elevates selfmaintenance with up to 212°F (100°C) bidirectional hotwater mop washing, helping loosen grease and food residues, followed by dockbase hotwater self-cleaning for hygiene [18]. TÜV-verified testing shows over 99.99% bacteria removal on spinning mops after washing [19].

An upgraded onepiece cleaning tray increases mop coverage and water volume for deeper rinses and quieter cycles [20], while a selfcleaning design reduces manual upkeep versus previous generations [21].

After washing, 131°F (55°C) warmair drying helps inhibit moisture and odors, the freshair dustbag drying keeps the base fresh, and auto dust emptying extends up to 65 days between bag changes. Convenience continues with auto mop detachment for carpets, warm water autorefilling, 2.5hour fast charging [22], auto detergent dispensing, and a detachable base for occasional manual rinses.

Saros 20 is offered with a standard RockDock® or in a variant featuring an integrated Refill and Drainage System for fully automated water management. In the Refill/Drainage configuration, the dock automatically refills clean water and empties used water while maintaining a compact, spacesaving design only 11.81 inches (30 cm) tall. Products with a Refill and Drainage System are available only in certain regions and countries and require a site pre-check to confirm clean water inlet, power, and drain access, with recommended clearances.

Intelligent Roborock app — One-tap tailored cleaning and control

Within the Roborock app, SmartPlan 3.0™ learns room types and user habits to adapt routines automatically, boosting suction when needed, re-washing mops after heavier areas, and lowering power during Do-Not-Disturb periods. Granular carpet controls let you deep clean rugs or avoid them entirely to keep textiles dry, with moplift logic and precise edge routes tailored per room. Privacy is front-and-center, with ceveral certifications from UL, AU, PSTI, and RED. Matter support also streamlines whole-home automations alongside Alexa, Siri, and Google Home. Optional, userenabled features such as StainTarget AI Cleaning can differentiate dry vs. wet messes and adjust strategy accordingly, and petfriendly intelligence can recognize pets, capture brief photo moments, and support remote video checkins. The Roborock app ensures your remote clean is kept simple, secure, and under user control.
