The Iconic Brand Arrives in Switzerland

Cape de Coeur, the luxury brand for weatherproof fashion capes, announces its official entry into the Swiss market. Following a successful launch in North America in the fall of 2021 and first presentations in Europe, including Stuttgart and Basel, the exceptional capes are now available online for Swiss customers. Distribution will be handled directly from Austria, where Cape de Coeur recently opened a European fulfillment center.

“Imagine a couture dress transformed into a functional, waterproof raincoat,” says founder and creative director Bettina Mueller Reichl, describing the design philosophy behind Cape de Coeur.

The Designer Behind the Brand

Austrian-born Bettina Mueller Reichl, now based in Vancouver, Canada, combines her deep roots in European design with the innovative spirit of her adopted home. Her career spans more than 25 years in the fashion and sportswear industry. From running her own fashion label in the 1990s to costume design for opera and film, to collaborating with international brands such as Lululemon, The North Face and Fila. This unique combination of fashion expertise and technical innovation ultimately led to the founding of Cape de Coeur in 2021.

Icons Reimagined

Each cape in the collection is dedicated to an archetypal figure, inspired by historical or cultural personalities. The Celestine embodies the playful elegance of Audrey Hepburn, while The Guardian reflects the strength of Joan of Arc. Through this concept, Cape de Coeur creates timeless pieces that not only protect against wind and weather but also express the personality of the wearer.

Production takes place exclusively in Europe with a transparent and efficient supply chain. At the core are longevity, superior quality, and timeless design. This philosophy makes the collection true investment pieces and defines sustainability through durability.
