GX Fashion Week - Between Emotion and Avant Garde Vision

The New Season of GX Fashion Week Milano

Gentiana Dervishi and the GX brand unveil an edition that ushers in a renewed era of excellence and forward looking vision within the international fashion landscape.

There is something unmistakable in the air in Milan at the end of February. A subtle, almost electric tension that those within the fashion world immediately recognize. It is anticipation, the genuine kind, built on expectations shaped over time and on a certainty renewed each year: GX Fashion Week is about to begin. On 25 February 2026 at 6 pm, the Chiostri di San Barnaba will once again become the beating heart of an event that has evolved far beyond the format of a traditional runway show.

Over the years, GX Fashion Week has transformed into something more complex and therefore unforgettable, a meeting of cultures, a dialogue among creative forces, a moment when fashion returns to its original essence as language, vision and pure emotion. At the center of this vision stands Gentiana Dervishi, Founder and General Director of the GX brand, a leader who has turned an idea into an international platform with rare coherence and strategic clarity. Under her guidance, GX Fashion Week has moved through Paris, captivated Milan and surprised audiences with the debut of Albania Fashion Week, an inaugural edition whose impact exceeded every expectation. Each time, rather than pausing to celebrate success, she has chosen to look ahead. This is the defining trait of her leadership, not self celebration but the ability to reimagine and elevate the project with every edition.

The 2026 season is no exception. Indeed, in Dervishi’s own words, it may represent a decisive turning point. “We have approved creations that embody an authentic sartorial revolution, in their finishing techniques, in the use of innovative fabrics and in the distinctive creative spirit of each participating designer. Beyond quality, we have pursued excellence.” This is not rhetoric, but the outcome of meticulous work, rigorous selection and designers who have brought forward their strongest expressions, aware that the stage would match their ambition. The event’s audience, consolidated over the years, continues to grow in both reach and profile. Industry professionals, buyers, specialized press and international guests attend because they recognize GX Fashion Week as a platform capable of anticipating visions and shaping emerging trends, confirming its authority within the global fashion system. Dervishi acknowledges this with the composure of someone who understands that results speak more powerfully than words. “I remain grounded despite the great achievements. My focus is increasingly on the future. I sense that this edition will be a fundamental milestone, for GX, for the designers, for the models and for all those who work behind the scenes to make it possible.” She adds, with measured confidence, “The new creations will captivate the audience. This year as well.”

Bringing this vision to life are the designers selected for the 2026 edition, whose geographic diversity already tells a compelling story. From Kosovo, Etnik Shala presents his eponymous brand. From Spain, Álex Cortés Carreras introduces AlexMenorca. Georgian designer Nina Tsiklauri, professionally based in Milan, presents Uniqe Milano. From Japan, Kurumi Yokoya showcases K R M Kurumi. Completing the circle is Umberto Michele Perrera with Sartoria Perrera. Distinct creative identities converge in a unified narrative of craftsmanship, experimentation and refined aesthetic language. The official general partner of GX Fashion Week Milano 2026 is Kojı×Beauté, a Japanese brand founded in 1918, rooted in the ancient tradition of fermentation and in more than a century of artisanal expertise. From this heritage emerges a drinkable beauty essence, neither food nor medicine, but a daily ritual in which koji and the Japanese philosophy of inner wellbeing become a pure sensory experience. Its presence represents not merely collaboration, but a profound alignment of values and vision.

Hair and Make up coordination is led by Alex Radulescu, Sachie Kishihara, Diana Jaupi and Corrado Costanzo. Overall coordination is directed by the young and highly accomplished Alessia Xhafa, whose experience across international editions of GX Fashion Week has already distinguished her leadership. The runway shows will be presented by Alessio Marrari, International Communications Director of GX and of Albania Fashion Week, blogger and podcaster whose profile spans digital content strategy and established recognition within the fashion and lifestyle sectors.

Together, these elements form a single, cohesive body. Vision, discipline and emotion move in harmony, defining an edition that confirms GX Fashion Week Milano not simply as an event, but as a statement of intent within the international fashion narrative.
